Brent Plunkett is the CEO of Charter Wealth Management and holds the Accredited Investment Fiduciary (“AIF®”) designation from The Center for Fiduciary Studies.

Brent focuses on working with families, foundations and corporate retirement plans. His emphasis is on developing quantitative models through independent research to help clients remove the emotions of investing and implement proven investment strategies to grow assets and minimize market risk.

Brent is a graduate of North Carolina State University and is very active in the community. Brent serves on the board of the Red Cross of Eastern North Carolina, Raleigh Wake Human Resource Management Association, and the Board of Governors at the City Club Raleigh.

Justin Taylor is the President of Charter Wealth Management and holds the Certified Financial Planners (CFP®) designation.

Justin brings a depth of knowledge from a career that spans over 15 years within the financial services space. He works closely with families and
foundation board members developing comprehensive asset management strategies.

Justin’s specialties include fixed income ladder creation for both taxable and tax-free income needs, cash flow analysis, structured product and option strategies, customized modeling for overall portfolio construction, as well as tax minimization planning.

He graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor’s of Science in Finance from The Fogelman College of Business & Economics at the University of Memphis. Mr. Taylor is a married father of two, has served in the US Army Reserves, and enjoys coaching youth sports.

Cheryl Sova has 25 years of experience as an advisor in the financial services industry while working at major wirehouse and brokerage firms in Raleigh, NC.  Cheryl holds the Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor (CRPC®) designation, highlighting her deep understanding of retirement planning strategies, tax implications and investment management.  She specializes in retirement planning in both the pre-and post-retirement phases helping clients with strategies that align with their unique goals and aspirations.  She has witnessed firsthand the dynamic nature of the financial industry, adapting to changing market conditions while ensuring her client’s best interests are always at the forefront.

Cheryl is a graduate of North Carolina State University where she earned her bachelor’s degree in Business Management with a finance concentration and a minor in Economics.  She lives in Raleigh with her husband, Brandon and their two kids, Ashton and Avery.  Cheryl is a long-time member of the Western Wake Woman’s Club which serves the community by supporting several local charities. There she has served on the board as President and Secretary for many years.
